Kat’s Thoughts:

I’ve kinda fallen in love with this shoe…. and I don’t even tap!

Why?

It’s a good mid-level tap shoe that has some really great sound.  The price is easier to swallow than the MUCH more expensive tap shoes (~$90+) that are out there… but also has really good sound quality and tone to the taps.  It does not have a “tinny” sound to the taps like many of the value level taps do.  The shoe is fairly hefty and solidly built. But it’s also got a lot of the nice features that you’d expect in the high-end tap shoes.

I like this shoe, particularly for the intermediate (also a growing kid) tapper or the adult tapper who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on a pair of tap shoes… but really does want a nicer pair.

Sizing – I do have an issue with.  This shoe runs SMALL.  Bloch (which kinda runs small to begin with) even suggests to go up a size from street shoe.  TBH – I’d almost try up a full two sizes and edit downwards from there – especially if you’re a growing kiddo!

Sizing Info:  Bloch suggests to start with 1 full size up from street shoe.  In real life – seems to be more like 1 to 1.5 sizes up.

Material/Content: Leather Upper, Rosin composite sole.

Intro Date:  I *think* 2016… maybe as late as 2017… but I really think 2016

Discontinue Date:  n/a

Other Notes:  This shoe is picking up popularity.

*A note about prices – while the MSRP is listed – it is just that.  Please remember that your local dance store also has to cover shipping costs, lights, rent, other utilities, and oh yeah – HUMANS!  When you go into a local dance store – please realize that you are possibly paying a premium for their expertise, knowledge, and having (most) products there on hand.  That’s not cheap.  Please don’t go “window shopping” there only to save a few bucks.  Especially on products under $100, it’s really not worth it.  Support your local store. Please.  When you do, you validate why we have physical stores and why we, as store owners, dedicate ourselves to providing you with products and knowledge we can stand behind.
